Simonne is our Practice Principal at Spooner Specialist Physiotherapy. Her ambition to become a physiotherapist arose at age 14, and she has always believed it is the best job in the world.
Having completed her exams in 2013, Simonne graduated from the Australian College of Physiotherapists as a Sport and Exercise Specialist Physio. She currently sits on the Board of Censors for the College and is involved in the Australian Physiotherapy Association as a Mentor for the Women in Leadership Programme.

Simonne was the Head Physiotherapist for Eastwood Rugby, as well as the Australian Women’s Rugby Union Team, for six years, including the 2008 Women’s Sevens World Championship-winning team. Having retired from the sidelines in 2023, Simonne has begun pursuing her new passions. She has been trained under the CCMI Network to become a Concussion Practitioner, and is committed to increasing the understanding and management of this condition.
Having welcomed her baby girl Charlotte in 2018 with her husband Jason, Simonne has also developed a special interest in the postpartum athlete, and desires to help new mums safely return to their chosen exercise. In keeping with this, she enjoys working with women experiencing symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, finding ways to promote bone and muscle health, as well a maintain healthy exercise habits. Additionally, Simonne has gained an interest in the running space. As an experienced runner herself, Simonne is dedicated to assisting first-time runners hone their interest without injury as well as aiding current runners return to their fitness journey post-injury.

RECEPTIONIST
Hannah has been working as a receptionist at SSP since February 2024. She recently completed her Bachelor of Social Science mastering in Politics and International Relations with Distinction, awarded by the University of New South Wales. In the upcoming year, she will be undertaking a thesis as part of the Social Science Honours programme at the same university, with a primary interest in gender inequality, particularly amongst Australian young people. She keenly enjoys travel, having undertaken a two-month trip to Europe in 2025. She also loves playing netball, reading, and spending quality time with her family and friends

RECEPTIONIST
Liv has been working at SSP since June 2023 and absolutely loves the welcoming atmosphere at the practice and all the amazing people she has the privilege of meeting. Having deferred her studies for a year in 2025 following her completion of the Diploma of Science at UTS College and enjoying a wonderful two-month holiday in Europe, she will be commencing a Bachelor of Advanced Science majoring in Pre-Medicine at UTS. She hopes to become a doctor in the future, deepening her interest in the medical field and assisting others in promoting healthy lifestyles. Liv, herself, enjoys sports in her free time, including netball, soccer and tennis. She also has embraced her creative tendencies by crocheting, knitting and sewing.

Scarlett joined the reception team in July 2025. She is currently studying at the University of Notre Dame, undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing. Her studies have helped her gain skills and knowledge in healthcare, whilst simultaneously building valuable hands-on experience in clinical settings for her future nursing career. Her fantastic experience in these fields has enabled her to help patients feel welcomed and supported from the moment they arrive at the clinic. Outside of work and study, Scarlett enjoys a well-balanced lifestyle, with a fondness for pilates, reading and watching drama series on TV. She especially loves her two beautiful sausage dogs and treasures time spent with her family.

Ariel has recently joined the receptionist team at SSP in July 2025. She has newly completed her Diploma of Nursing at TAFE and is planning to undertake a Bachelor's in Accelerated Nursing this upcoming year to deepen her interest in the healthcare industry. Ariel has successfully incorporated fitness throughout her life. She boasts sporting successes within swimming, which she competitively participated in for eight years, water polo, netball and taekwondo. Ariel is very family-oriented, enjoying building a close relationship with her family and friends. She also embraces creativity through her interest in colouring as well as reading her favourite books on her Kindle in her free time.
