Our team

DR SIMONNE REYNOLDS (spooner) | FACP

DirectoR / Specialist Sport and Exercise Physiotherapist

Simonne is our Practice Principal at Spooner Specialist Physiotherapy. She knew she wanted to be a Sport Physio at the age of 14, and still tells people, hers is the best job in the world.

Having completed her exams in 2013, Simmone graduated from the Australian College of Physiotherapists as a Sport and Exercise Specialist Physio. She currently sits on the Board of Censors for the College, and is involved in the Australian Physiotherapy Association as a Mentor for the Women in Leadership Programme.

Simonne was the Head Physiotherapist for Eastwood Rugby, as well as the Australian Women’s Rugby Union Team for 6 years, including the 2008 Women’s Sevens World Championship winning Team. Having retired from the sidelines in 2023, Simonne has begun pursuing her new passions. She has been trained under the CCMI Network to become a Concussion Practitioner, and is committed to increasing the understanding and management of this condition.

Having welcomed her baby girl Charlotte in 2018 with her husband Jason, Simmone has also developed a special interest in the postpartum athlete, and a desire to help new mums safely return to their chosen exercise. In keeping with this, she enjoys working with women experiencing symptoms of perimenopause and menopause and together finding ways to promote bine and muscle health, and minion healthy exercise habits.

MICHAEL INHELDER

Physiotherapist

Michael joined us at Spooner Specialist Physiotherapy having completed his Exercise Physiology Degree at Sydney University, and a Masters of Physiotherapy at UTS.

When not working, Mikey like getting out and about in Sydney. This passion began after travelling overseas, and his attempts to recreate the same novelty at home. His explorations are largely driven by a desire to find great food! Although he did accidentally order a whole plate of sashimi chicken in Japan!

Irene Tyler

She is currently taking a gap year from uni as she figures out if she wants to stick with her Marketing and Media degree or start a teaching degree and saves up money for her Europe trip at the end of the year to watch the Rugby World Cup! As the captain of the Eastwood Women's team she is very passionate about the sport and coaches junior teams.
