The 2020 World Health Organisation guidelines on physical activity as reported by the British Journal of Sports Medicine


Recent estimates suggest that one in 4 adults and 81% of adolescents do not meet the recommendations for aerobic exercise. 


The global target is to reduce global levels of physical inactivity in adults and adolescents by 15% by the year 2030. 


These guidelines provide evidence based public health recommendations regarding the frequency, intensity, duration and types of physical exercise to offer significant health benefits and mitigate health risks.
